Thank you to our community members and Scouting family for the great turnout at the Troop’s spaghetti dinner fundraiser. We had a packed dining hall, good food, and amazing desserts. The girls are looking forward to summer camp in the North Carolina mountains and your support gets each one a step on the trail closer to her goal
Weekly meetings resume Monday August 18, following the Pasco public school calendar (no school, no weekly meeting). Our youth leaders have planned a great calendar for the year, including campouts on the Weeki Wachee river, aviation, backpacking, bird study, range and target activities, and SKIING! Please join us for a meeting to see what our program can offer your female youth.
Troop 7 had a great week at Camp Woodruff, in Blairsville GA. The girls went white-water rafting, horseback riding, and worked on numerous merit badges, including Rifle, Archery, Journalism, Art, and Canoeing. A favorite memory was our overnight canoe trip out to the OA Island to hammock (or sleep under the stars). Several of the youth also participated in the camp News Crew and produced the daily newsletter and videos. Thank you to our families and volunteers who made the 2024-2025 school year and our camping adventures possible.
Troop 7 is back for the new school year! Already this year we have done a bio-luminescent kayak trip, troop building games, and a backpacking hike. Next month is the archery campout!
This year for summer camp, Troop 7 traveled overnight by Amtrak train to Raleigh, NC to spend the week at Camp Raven knob in Mount Airy, NC. We had a great week, although a very warm week thanks to the heatwave, but the waterfront area was oh so nice to cool off. We worked on our skills, bonded as a Troop and learned new things, including pioneering, metalworking, archery, and kayaking.
Help Troop 7 get to summer camp! For only $16, you can receive 50% your online regular price Papa John’s order for the rest of 2024 (use up to 18 times this year). The girls receive a portion of your purchase to put towards camp. Scan the QR code or click here
Troop 7 had a great week at Camp Rainey Mountain, in Clayton GA. The girls went white-water rafting, and worked on numerous merit badges, including Rifle, Archery, Photography, Art, and Wilderness Survival. They also hiked an adventurous 1099 steps at Talullah Gorge State Park. Thank you to our families and volunteers who made the 2022-2023 school year and our camping adventures possible. We have several activities over the summer as well as an upcoming calendar for the 2023-2024 school year. Please reach out if your girl youth aged 11-17 is interested in making lasting friendships while experiencing the leadership and outdoor program of Scouts BSA.
Troop 7 was excited to welcome our first Cub Scout AOL crossover scout, March 3 2023 at Camp Soule. The Troop had a fun weekend camping, building and launching rockets, and participating in a flag retirement ceremony.
